Our Story

The story behind JimJam

JimJam is named after our mum, whose nickname has always been JimJam. We chose the name because we wanted the business to stand for something personal: care, pride, and standards that people can actually feel in a space. We have both worked in and around businesses where the cleaning was an afterthought - invisible until it went wrong, and then suddenly everyone had an opinion. We started JimJam because we think the standard should be set by people who actually care whether a space feels right, not just whether it passes a checklist.

A name that means something

We did not want to build a cold, generic facilities brand. Using our mum's nickname reminds us that standards should feel personal. If our name is on the job, the space should show it - clean, well run and looked after properly.

Why this work

Because spaces affect people more than most realise

Before starting JimJam, we spent time inside live facilities operations - not reading about them but watching how they actually run. We saw the disconnects: contracts that promised one thing and delivered another, clients chasing updates they should never have had to ask for and cleaning teams doing good work with no way to prove it.

That experience shaped how we built JimJam. Every client gets a named contact, photo-verified visits and a clear record of what was done. We do not disappear after the first week. We stay close, review regularly and fix problems before they become complaints.
